Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the LiveStop mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”) operated by LiveStop (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

LiveStop provides real-time and scheduled public transport information for informational purposes only. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

2. Subscription and In-App Purchases

The App offers an optional subscription (“LiveStop subscription”) purchasable through the App Store. Subscribing removes in-app advertising and increases the number of stops and routes you can save as favourites. Subscription pricing, billing frequency, and any available free trial are displayed in the App Store prior to purchase.

Subscriptions are governed by Apple's standard subscription terms. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

3. Accuracy of Transit Information

Transit arrival and departure data is sourced from public transport authorities in NSW, VIC, SA, and QLD. We make no warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data. Service delays, cancellations, and disruptions are outside our control.

You should not rely solely on LiveStop when planning time-critical journeys. Always check official sources (e.g. Transport for NSW, PTV, Adelaide Metro, Translink) for confirmed service information.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and software in the Service are owned by LiveStop or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal purposes. No other rights are granted.

Transit data remains the property of the respective public transport authorities and is used under their data access conditions.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiveStop will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss suffered due to reliance on inaccurate transit information.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Third-Party Content

The Service may display links to third-party websites or content. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site.

8. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Australian courts.
